A Few Family Photos

Caroline Anne - Christmas Eve 2008 in her jammies. She knew she looked precious in this outfit and therefore proceeded to run around the house giggling.

On Sunday, December 21st mom treated Lindsey and I to a night in Downtown Houston with a visit to the Houston Ballet's "The Nutcracker." It was the perfect Christmas evening and a nice girls' night out.

This picture was taken at a Texas A&M tailgate early this past November. Caroline is already getting trained for her future alma mater. Carter even gave the Aggie thumbs up in the womb at 20 weeks!

This one is of Leslie and I bumping our bellies on Christmas Eve night. I am about 6 weeks ahead of Les, eventhough I look to be a whole lot more. I'm thinking she'll catch up soon enough!

Welcome to the Crites' Family Blog!

Greetings! We've decided to join the world of blogging in order to better keep in touch with family and friends. I hope to post pictures, videos, and family news on a bi-monthly basis. I will do my best. :) Please be patient as my blogging skills are quite elementary at this point.

Christmas 2008
We had a wonderful Christmas. We stayed in town and spent Christmas Eve at my parents' house in Waller. It was great to spend family time with everyone, especially Leslie and Baron, who were in from Dallas. Leslie is 6 months pregnant and due to have their son, Beckett Von Concors, sometime in early April. Les and Baron are super excited about the arrival of their first child. (We are too!)

Caroline really enjoyed Christmas this year. She understood it more than last year and was really excited about every gift she received. She got so worked up about opening her presents that she developed a new laugh where she breaths in and out (wheezing) as she laughs. It's hilarious! :) She received a table and chairs, an easel, many cool learning toys, and her favorite was from Santa...a red, retro kitchen! She loves it and has been very busy cooking up lots of yummy food for mommy, daddy, and Carter. (She places food on my belly for Baby Cah-tah...so cute.)

Carter is quickly approaching his arrival date, and we cannot believe time has passed so quickly. I am currently 32 weeks pregnant with my due date still set at Feb. 26, 2009. At our last appointment they informed us that he already weighed 3 lbs. 7 oz. (Dec. 16th) and was measuring a little on the early side. In fact, his legs were measuring Feb. 15th, which isn't that surprising when your daddy is 6' 5''. We have another appointment on Dec. 30th, so we will keep you posted on any progress.

Until next time,
Lauren (& Carter)
